2000 29 scarab twin 350"s

what is a good price to sell my scarab at two new long blocks all new gauges boat is pretty clean what is a fair price to list it at

when I sold my 29 I did some research on what the average for price was. I looked at NADA and the unfortunate of what the market could bare before putting mine up for sale. I ended up making a little more than what I owed on it just so I could move on. It is also worth what one is willing to pay for it. Don't sale yourself short but don;t price yourself out of the market. Good luck!

I saw your scarab in the classifieds. It looks really clean. How is the interior condition, workign order of all electronics etc? Any pictures of the engines?

Airshares the interior of the boat is a 8 out of 10 I would say there are two very small holes in the sun pad but everything else is in good condition I do not have any interior or engines pictures at this time but I could take some next week. all the electronics in the boat work just fine all the gauges are only a year old I replaced all the eletric actuators on the silent choice exhaust all the lights work everything on the boats works no problems

Fuel Burns

What can I expect for operational costs on the 29? Im interested in the fuel burns.

I would say around 50 gallons an hour at a cruise speed which is at 3500 rpm you go wide open throttle and you will burn about 100 gallons an hour

What $/gal are you assuming for the $50/100 numbers above?

50/100 Gallons

50 gallons an hour? Are you serious? I know jet engines that burn those kind of lbs and you get a heck of lot more distance and speed.
So that would equate to about $150 an hour to operate at cruise in gas alone.
I might have to go with a Single. Too bad too I was really interested in this one.

I had a 1997 22 scarab as well and at wot throttle that 454 mag was rated at 50 gallon an hour this boat has two engines. about one hour of run time you can burn about 100 dollars of fuel I have friends that burn 300 dollars a day in fuel with twin big blocks. my figures are a guess I do not know the ture amount it burns in an hour. I use about 150 dollars to 250 dollars worth of fuel a week end @ 325 gallon. you can figure about 200 to 300 hundred dollar for a weekend of fun
