22 Scarab
Any 22 owners out there? i just bought mine last month. Nice boat, could use a bit more power (I have a 454 Mag).
|
Is it a 454Mag or the 7.4ltr??? At my boat came with a 7.4, then I changed to a 502mpi and now 525efi Mercury racing.
If you have 454mag, you can always make some upgrade to get more power, but in my opinion I would suggest to sell your engine and buy another with more power. just my 2cents Harry |
I had a 22' Scarab until a couple months ago. Loved that boat. Mine was a 1989 with a 350 (5.7) Mercruiser. I was able to top out around 65-66 mph and cruise at 50 all day long. It was an awesome boat.
I'm looking into going bigger now...which is why I sold it. |
I had a 96 for a few years. It had the 7.4L and ran low-mid 60's. Good boat but it wasn't up to snuff in Long Island Sound. Too short and not enough deadrise, but boy could we air that thing out!
