You need to move to a standard mirage 23P. You should pick up at least 200 rpm because of the cupping the mirage plus has. I believe it would have the same effect as moving down to a 22p.

What engine are you running? Where is max HP on the engine. If it is an engine thats peak HP is between 4600-4800 you're already there.

A mirage and a mirage plus are 2 different props. The plus has more cupping than a standard mirage, but I also think the rake is different. It is not just a change the prop and you gain RPM's. You might lose some handling characteristics, have planing issues and still not gain any speed. If you like the characteristics of the Plus than just have the blades thinned (labbed) and build your current prop to work great for you boat. You could also get your prop repitched to 22". But the labbing would be the best bang for the buck.

I have 25 mirages and needed to add the cupping so I could get on plane easier. I also had the blades labbed so I could get my RPM's back that the added cupping took away. I also gained a lot better handling characteristics at speed with the added cupping.

i have 350 mag mpi they say 5000 rpm is the # have new 23 plus props if labbing will solve the problem that i would do. also my tabs have a spacer in them i m told and they don't go up past paralell to the bottom of the boat could that have something to do with rpm

The spacer is there to keep the boat running "wetter". The bottom of the boat also has a wedge built into at the outer strake. If you are feeling ambitious, and a little daring, you can grind that out and it will help free up the bottom of the boat also.

I used to run labbed 23s on mine when I had it. It only gained about 1-2 mph as I recall though.
