Swim Platform project completed
Here are the results of the last 5 saturdays. My buddy Jon and I put in a lot of work, changed the swim platform from an old teak one to this aluminum and replaced our old 3 inch tips with these 4 inch.

That damn transom is 2.5 inches thick. No wonder the thing weighs as much as a truckload of elephants. http://images5b.snapfish.com/2323232...89348349nu0mrj http://images5b.snapfish.com/2323232...89349349nu0mrj Up next: New trim tabs... |
Looks really good. I know what you mean about cutting out new holes, not fun at all.

Don't forget that you CLEANED and PAINTED those drives!!! :)
Looks great, where did you get the platform? |
Yeah, those drives are a yearly battle. Slipping the boat definitly has its downsides.
I got the platform at Lake Cumberland Marine. According to them it was a take-off from an outerlimits. It was raw aluminum, so I had it prepped and powdercoated locally. |
Looks awesome Mister !

Your new platform
Hi, Do you know if Lake Cumberland Marina has another one of those platforms? That looks like it may work on my 38KV. How much was it? Thanks,John

I honestly don't know. They had this one listed in the classifieds here, they said it was off an outerlimits. I dealt with a real nice guy there, Jeff Boyle. His email is [email protected]
I got it for $1275. It was raw aluminum and I drove to pick it up. |
