1997 23' Scarab SCS New to me.....
 

Good day all, just picked up this boat over the last few weeks and spending some time cleaning her up and servicing her.....

454 Mag in good shape, just installing a set of EMI Thunder exhausts and searching for a Procharger.....

The last owner either knew nothing about boats, lost interest and let her slide or was just plain lazy....

I have been out a few times, I like the handling and ride and with a little more power, some fine tuning and checking out some different props (currently has a 22p Bravo 1 four blade) she will be a nice ride......

Couple of things: Does anybody know the length of the "shift" cable that is used for the mechanical trim tab indicator unit? One is seized so I will probably just replace both but can not find any numbers on the cable and do not want to take them out before I get new ones because I will use the old ones to pull the new ones through, if you know what I mean....

second thing, I have the flip down, self retracting swim-grid ladder and there was once a grab handle just aft of the engine hatch, I need a new one, problem is that the holes are 10" center to center and most handles I have found are 12".....I did find one but it was over $50 and with shippin, taxes, duty etc a little pricey in my mind...:eek:
