Thinkin bout a 31 Scarab
 

My local boat repair shop has purchased a 1997 31scarab... problem is it was rearended on the trailer and has had the big blocks replaced with late model mercruiser 350's. the transom has a hole punched dead center where the hyd. rams for the imco steering is/was lol. the lower units are shattered and in a pile. interior is standard stuff alittle dirty but in good shape, as is the rest of the boat. okay here is the question, what is it worth and is it even worth messin with?? word on the street is he paid 12 grand. what do ya'll think??

If the boat was in nice shape, and still had the Big Blocks in it...it would be worth 3 times that money sir. Just sumthin to think about. :drink:

i hear ya, i have checked on the price on 31's 33's like urs and 33avs. I guess my real question is buy one at normal price and enjoy or buy this one cheap have the transom fixed and enjoy it with small blocks till i can afford to build some hp500's or some SCI's. and besides even with the stock 502's it wont outrun my scs, just lookin for a bigger boat.
