Closed to open bow conversion
 

I've been doing a bunch of digging around on the internet about conversions.

Has anyone here converted their Scarab?

I have a 31 excel I'm thinking about swapping over. I also see a lot of posts saying that a good majority of open bows start out as closed decks and are then swapped over at the factory. That they only use one mold for the top deck.

Honestly it really just sounds like cutting a hole, adding 2 bulkheads and some benches. Then doing the upholstery.

I like the idea of having a 30+ ft open bow, and right now the only ones I see are the Sunsations for the most part and that's 60k and up.

If anyone has any info or can recommend anyone in the North east that would be awesome.

Thought about it myself in my 33 but the wife says hell no!

There is an 87ish 26' Scarab on LOTO that has been converted. I've seen picks of it. Don't know anything else about it, but the pics of it looked good. Looked like it was done professionally.
