What is the HP rating for a 1988 454 Mag motor?

I know that the 1987 454 was rated at 330 hp with the alpha drive but in 1988 when the Bravo 1 came out does anyone know what a 454 mag was rated at? 330 or 365?

Thanks

So, it looks like in 1989 you could get a 7.4 litre 330 hp big block or a 454 mag which should be 365 hp. Your brochure doesnt address outdrives but I assume everything was coming with a bravo at that time.

I only ask this question because I have a 1988 Wellcraft Spyder with a 454 mag and a bravo 1. There is another user on OSO with the exact same boat and motor (I havent seen it but thats what he says) but when he tore his engine down he said the heads were the peanut heads which would mean 330 hp and non forged internals.
What Im trying to determine is what my RPM operating range is. Obviously the 330 hp is 4200-4600 and the mag is 4600-5000 at wot.

Here is a pic of my motor:

Summer 1989 When I started shoping the used 1988 28 Scarabs most had the 330's .I started looking at new 89's and most of them had the 365's.Mine was built in july 1989.I bought it new as a left over in Feb 1990.The max it turned stock was 5k on a good day.around 62mph .The factory test report says 5000rpm at 60mph.

My buddy has a 88 is it came with 330,it was special ordered in Jan 1988,33k

When I bought the 89 there was his big bro 38 with the exact blue gel and interior, pretty cool seeing the 2 side byside:drink:it was 119k

I guess the main reason someone in 1988 or 89 bought or ordered a 330 was cheaper.

Im betting wellcraft was puting the same motors in all the highperformance, scarabs, panthers,Spyders etc.

all had bravo ones

mine also came with some alum black mufflers on the inside, its made a diff when i took them off.

best i remember the intake has the dual carb bolt patern, the 365 came with a 800cfm quad.I think i still had the old merc repair manual.I seem to rememer the cam lift 510.
