Is this Scarab KV Miami Vice for real???
This is in Texas. Repainted...OK. Although I have a Formula, I am a big fan of my next boat; a Scarab. I am looking at the engine hatch cover. Didn't the Miami Vice boats have one that opened in the center, hinged at the outside as opposed to the rear? Did all Vice boats have an arch?

I believe this is a real one, according to the experts from the Miami Vice Scarab Facebook page. I think maybe some of the replicas had a single hatch vs. the actual show boats

That aluminum arch ruins the look of the boat. Combined with the crazy interior. If you could beat him down on the price it could be a good deal if the motors check out. The kv are getting harder to find

I dont see the year listed. Looks older than a vice. Should have had gil manifolds if it was a vice based on the year. The crusader manifolds in the pic are old school.

I have looked this boat over. I live close by.

and what did you find?

Still the stupidest paint scheme and interior I've ever seen

The trailer will need lots of work. Its Metal not Galvanized. Personally I wouldn't even consider the money asking without a Hull Survey and a Lake test. The boat has sat outside with just a cockpit cover for at least 4 years that I know of.

That arch looks ridiculous on that boat. It's the same arch I have on my Scarab Sport, just facing the other way. I spent alot of time on a 1988 38' KV, and I'm not an expert, but I can't get past the arch, it just looks so wrong on "that" boat.
