Wind Deflecter
I have a 1988 Scarab KV. I have been trying to locate a replacement wind deflector for this classic boat. Mine is broke in half. I can have one reproduced for the tune of $1400 Ouch! So I thought I would put the word out to my Scarab brothers and see if anyone might have any suggestions.

Ouch, that is expensive. Have you tried another shop?
Yeah called a couple of places off the web no luck. Aero Marine is who can make it, im sure it would be awesome but damnnnn.
Try local plexiglass or glass shops. Since you have the old one for a template it would be real easy for them to form a new one.
If no one can do it cheaper, send me some rough dinensions L x w height angle and I have a local plexiglass shop that Ive delt with for side glass on my Formula. I can get a quote from them for 2-3.

I was trying to post an attachment pic. I guess Im not the right member. The problem is that it has a radius the length of it and is bent in the middle about 45 degrees to deflect. Can Your shop do that?
I have the same boat, so sure that if I took the boat to them, they would be able to match the radius.
Was there much difference between 1980 & 1988? I could email pics to u. I guess I should just get a memebership

Try this guy (561) 304-2921 Carlos in Florida. I know he has 38 avs windshield molds.

Doc, can you tell me what the thickness of the screen is? What is the height of it after the 45 deg angle? what is the width of the mounting flange? Im going to talk to a plastics shop about making one and get a price for 2.
