What are issues to look for on 29 scarab
I am going to look at a 97 29 scarab this weekend and am curious what I should keep my eye out for. From browsing forums it sounds like they are known for wet transom/stringers. Is there a way to check this without disrupting the boat. Any other things to look for that are common. Does anyone know a surveyer in Dallas area?

If there are any screws you can take out and stick a small pick in, and if it has Kplanes, loosen the nut on the oil tube and pull the washer back and stick the pick, those holes are large and low. culprits of seeping water also.

Thanks for the suggestion I will definitely check that

Mine is going to Northwest Fiberglass in the morning to have a piece of wet wood replaced and wet sanding....Good luck, they are great boats.
