Are you going to scribe them and weld them to the top of the x members or weld them to the sides? When I did mine I wasn't sure but I liked the clean look of having them on top. Either way it is looking great.
I like your Snap-on plumb bob.

That's kobalt from Lowes. When I first hung it I used the stern light hole as the center, When things weren't adding up we figured out that the hole is 5/16" off center lol. We're just welding the stands to the sides of the crossmembers.

It went to the Fort Wayne, IN area. I'm FB friends with the guy, but I think he bought it, stuffed it in a barn and that was that. I've never seen him post anything about it. I asked him to keep my thread going, but as far as I know, he has never posted a thing.

Thanks it’ll happen soon. 😀
Shon and I were able to go pick up the other scarab 38 in Iowa. Left yesterday morning at 3:00, got home with it this morning at 7:30. About 750 miles in 27 1/2 hours. Yikes!
My plans are to use the cabin upholstery out of this other boat. A lot of parts came with it, and the hull is very nice. The guy I bought it from had taken it apart to re gel the hull and lost interest. The work he did looks nice. He said the original owner had taken the deck off in the past and had the stringers replaced. I think this hull really deserves to be back on the water at some point and is a lot nicer than I expected.

Geez oh wow thats a nice boat ! You gonna do some exploring to see how far the stringer job went when your in there gutting the cabin.
it looks like the deck isnt attached, was it rigged and running when the gelcoat owner who lost interest got it ?
throw some interior structural glass/stringer/cabin/engine room pics up of (blair-hull#3) when she's spruced up after that long trip in bad weather.
the trailer looks great, your obviously thinking thru bunking t up real good.
can't wait for paint on blair-hull#2
