The Arneson boxes look great. Can't wait to see them mounted on the boat!

Thanks guys, we’ve had a lot going on plus I took a small vacation. Hope to get back to work Saturday. It’s still hot here in Alabama in October. Be nice when it cools down, it will be easier to work.

Been busy lately and haven’t had much time to mess with the boat. But I’m going to have to find a way to get the deck finished up and prolly back on the hull by the 21st. I’m needing the real estate it is occupying.

In in other news, yesterday for kicks and giggles, me and Winston messed around with the Miami vice colors. We sprayed a section of steel panel just to practice the fade. Winston did well for such short notice. He’ll make the blends more gradual when it comes time to spray the boat. It’s interesting how all the boats are different. The two tv boats have the faded in different places on the sides of the hull, and the star 1 boat looks to have a darker blue on the side, and a lighter blue on the arch...

Here’s star 1, (a tv boat)I believe it was repainted several years ago..

Heres Wayne Kolbs star 2 (also a tv boat) he’s gonna have restored. As far as I know this is the original paint....

Thanks. We finished the rot repair on the deck tonight. We hope to get the deck at least test fitted to the hull Thursday night. We’ll see how it goes...

Put second layer of glass on the H brace.

Did a little trimming on some bulkheads this afternoon, also pulled the boat out of the shop, it’s been sitting in the same spot for two years. I ordered some west systems marine epoxy to bond the deck back on the hull with. I had planned to use the 3M epoxy we use in auto collision repair but the west system stuff is for marine use and is actually cheaper. That stuffs supposed to be here Monday or Tuesday. Will likely test fit the deck over the weekend and be ready to bond it when the epoxy gets here.
