wellcraft archives
Does Wellcraft still have the archive where you can get info/brochure stuff on older boats? I was trying to find out what my 94 38 Thunder weighs. Cant seem to find the page on their website . . . .

NADA guide boats gets you pretty close. I transport 3-4 boats a month and use them to estimate weight. Usually pretty accurate. They claim 9100lbs+-. for yours. W

In the 2000 brochure they list the 38 AVS at 12,200 LBS dry and they were lighter than the old straight bottoms at least that's what they said. Everything that Wellcraft built was heavy.

Hmm well I stumbled across a 12k pound hydro hoist that was already in my marina and needed a new home quick so I pulled the trigger on it. Worst case scenario my buddy is a dealer and we can add a toob or something I guess. Thats a bummer they took the archives down. I did save a bunch of them to my shop pc though. Does anyone know if the thunder series was lighter and if so by what process?

I've read that the thunder series was a different layup than the standard Scarab. You've been in a few now, have you noticed any difference in how they look inside?

big ranges 9100 to 14200... I have been told that boats are always heavier than what is stated in brochures. |
I have a 98 Scarab 38 AVS. Aluminum trailer. Aluminum wheels. Disk brakes. I got 13,900 lbs on the trailer with only the center tank full of fuel. I still havent gone back to weigh just the trailer.
