Bravo XR

I have upgraded to BRAVO XR DRIVES AND NOW I HAVE A
HARD TIME PLAINING OUT. ARE THE XR,S A SHORTER DRIVE?
OR IS IT SOMETHING ELSE?

J-BOAT 10-04-2002 07:49 PM

Did you also change prop's?

SCARAB 10-05-2002 06:49 AM

No I put back on the same props, and I have the same gears
in the drives, and the same power.

audacity 10-05-2002 07:37 AM

what drives did you have? what h2o configuration did you have and what is it now?

SCARAB 10-05-2002 09:19 AM

I had Bravos that came on my 1991 31 scarab that were
hooked up to 365s. Sorry, but I have no clue about the
h2o configuration

audacity 10-05-2002 09:39 AM

you just bolted up XR's right on your 91 TA's???

SCARAB 10-05-2002 02:22 PM

Yes, I took off the old ones and bolted on the xrs. Everything
fit.

audacity 10-06-2002 05:50 AM

no, there is a dif....check with merc....your old setup used a castle nut and this one uses a spaner nut....who talked you into XR's....they eat way too much hp for your application...so you had to get new props? or you just changed inserts?

SCARAB 10-06-2002 07:47 AM

I plan to up grade the motors this winter, and Iwas having
problems with a drive , I ran across a deal on the XRs and
I thought it could not hert to put them on for the last of our
summer

audacity 10-06-2002 07:52 AM
