Thanks for the updates. Sucks. I really like the look of that boat from the factory. Maybe one will pop up soon. Dan. I do like the speedster you built.

I do have access to the factory one deck mold but it would have to be a pad bottom boat not step. But like I have said in the past the pad bottom is faster and more stable than the step! Regards Dan

Team Scarab 26 straight-vee boats benefits.

The Swedish boat racer Christer that originally bought a 1990 Team Scarab 26 from Larry got the itch in 2011 and bought the 2000 F1 #3 boat as I've mentioned before. They've made a couple of splashed ones and Christer raced the first one, a yellow boat UL-39. They decided to change the deck and cockpit to get a better layout and more space than the F1 and maybe for other reasons too? Christer probably thought that Bob Christie's Ale House Racing stepped boat by Wellcraft must have been faster than Bob's 1994 Team Scarab regular boat, but it has over and over again proved to be wrong. The stepped boats are not only slower, they don't even handle as well. Christer calls his race boats RBM 27R. They're built to an extremely high standard, just like Dan's boats, but are about 10 mph slower with the same power. Christer and his friends are also very very experienced racers and riggers and have raced boats for a long long time and been very successful on the circuit, especially with much more expensive, larger Ocke Mannerfelt designed boats. Tides23, the F1 #2 boat is still up there in Canada probably, but why not approach the Rebolo Brothers of Long Beach, California and see if they still would consider selling their Coyote Racing Team 1994 Team Scarab race boat. It's set up like a poker run boat too. More space in the cockpit, better performance and handling than the F1 boats and will keep its value. Personally, I'd buy Dan's boat over any of these boats, but though it's amazingly great value for the money we all have our budget limitations. The Swedish boats sell for 25% more than Dan's boats at least, the white in the photos runs a Mercury racing 520, Bravo XR ITS shorty, K-planes 380S and tops out ~90 mph during racing.

RBM 27R boats made in Sweden.

Photos of the racing Swedish RBM 27R boats. The yellow was the first made in 2012 and the white is a 2016.

That's the first time I have seen a good still shot of his bottom he didn't change a thing its a exact copy of the F-1 bottom even the little delta in front of the step. And just to let everyone now that all 5 F- 1 Boats were built by Warren and the gang at Team Scarab in So Cal.

Tides23,
talked to a buddy of mine today, and though I was convinced Bob Christie's last 26 Scarab, one of the five F-1 boats, went to Europe after he raced and spun it at the 2015 Key West Championship, I was today told that he's still believed to own it. Give Bob a call at his office and see if You get want you desire: phone 407-345-11zerozero
P.S. Bob's incident at 2:55 in the video. D.S.
