Yes, this was Tim's boat. I know you have the deck molds for the 43, do you by chance of a source for the deck hatch gasket that is set into the Lexan hatch? Also I heard that you have vents for the engine hatch, is this true? If so, I am going to need 2 of them or maybe have a newer more modern style pair made. |
No hatch seals but we do make a S/S side vent for the 43 wellcraft deck. Its the same deck that's on the Diesel boat it has the vents on it. they don't wrap around the front edge but you just have to fix the 3 screw holes. Regards Dan

Did this boat have any Florida history?
There was a big triple Scarab affiliated with a strip club I used to see around a lot. It had a flag graphic which makes me think it may be this boat. |
This was a Coast Guard documented vessel, so it's pretty easy to trace back the previous owners. As far as I can tell there have been 3 official owners, here is where it's been.
Michigan '95-'99 Ohio '99-'03 North Carolina '03-'07/Michigan '07-'18 So outside of being made in Florida, I don't thing it spend any time there. I know, zero history of the original owner. Second owner was race engine builder in Ohio, third a crew chief for two prominent NASCAR teams. Then his brother had the boat but never transferred any of the documents in his name. That would have been from '07-'18. Now I own it. So that is the complete history of the boat. |
The 43 is finally going to make it down to Chicago this weekend, which means I can finally start working on it. I've also made a few changes in regards what I'm running for drives. I was going to put two of the #5's on boxes but I decided to go a different route. I'm going to be running 6's on this boat instead. Due to the power and overall advantages of the 6, I feel this will be a much better combo. The new drives should be delivered next week. I'm certainly excited to dig into this, and get it on the water next spring.
In other news, Jim Valako has been working on my Canfield heads, and the flow numbers are looking good. The engines should be a solid 1200 hp each when done, which I think is going to make a really nice package in this boat. |
Great looking boat!!!! What do you estimate for top speed? |
Thanks!
As for the speed, I'm not sure, I'm guessing with 2400 hp and the 6's 105-108 mph. Dan at Archer Marine would have a realistic guess, at some point I need to call him on a few things. |
