Arnesons all the way. I've owned an Arneson boat and they are awesome. There's a deal on a set of 7s right now in swap shop.

haha funny. But this boat needs a full overhaul, new transom, stringers, cockpit floor, whole cabin etc. so Iíll have a blank canvas on the transom to work with.

Sounds like a good candidate for a staggered conversion.

That is a great idea, Iím not really sure why I never thought about doing that, how much space would that eat up in the cockpit area and what not? Since I have to get race hatches anyway because my boat didnít come with them, wouldnít make much of a difference there.

Staggered setup with surface drives.......I like it

KV stands for Kaama Vesrion, a tribute to the original Kaama race boat. Some people think it's for Kaama Vice (Miami Vice) but not correct since the KV's came out before the TV show.
BTW, I'm not that smart, I just remember Dan (Archer Marine) posting this some time ago)

Hey guys, KV does in deed stand for KAAMA Vice. in homage to Betty's KAAMA and the Vice program.
Bill Erickson came up with the name. The first KV models were built as early 86 models. The first two boats built for the show were 377 models, built in May of 85. They still had the old 377 cabin, wood lower cabin doors and the old location for the deck hatches. When the 377 was redesigned and designated as the KV, the cabin was replaced with the discontinued Raider cabin, lower cabin door was changed to a plexi slider and the deck hatches were replaced with the Bomar three bar and moved 10" forward, amongst other cosmetic changes.
We have the #2 boat built for the show and was the first to appear on screen in the season two premiere.
It was built in May of 85 and stamped as an 85 377 model
