3 gages went out (88 excel 28)
 

Hey all,just boat a 1988 scarab excel 28 454/bravo1 waiting my 10 post count to show you my boat but in the meantime i was wondering how these old gages where wired up.
I first noticed my Gas level gage was stuck way past full, then later I realized my Voltage gage next to it was below 0. so i started monitering the other gage next to them witch is the boat run time ( these 3 gages are in the same dash section) and the timer wasnt going up at all.
I was gessing these 3 gages have a common fuse or wire, lmk if you have had any similar experience with these, il have time to be looking into this over the weekend.

Get a volt meter and check power and ground to each gauge is first step.

Forgot about this post, quick follow up, those 3 gages had a common main ground wire and it was unpruged, quick and easy fix. :)

Gotta love the quick easy fixes! Especially with electrical
