Talking kevlar hulls

question for older scarabs..
i have 89 38 scarab,,,it has sickers on side saying kevlar
when i had my stringers and transom replaced, dave goodmen pointed out the layer of kevlar.
so ,,,,,was this an option,,getting kevlar in hulls????

Yes, Kevlar was a pricey option for the 38 Excel. Very few made like that and only gave a weight savings of about 500 lbs. Only Kevlar in the hull. It definitely makes it more solid,

and it's noticeable in comparison to non-Kevlar boats. Cool with that rarity Gordy.
