scippy,

I ran through the whole boat with the knock test during my first visit and found no softies

I did a more thorough knock test back in my driveway...and found none. I wish I had a moisture meter but ...

The boat is gonna be a runner....with 90 HP :)

Curious to know how much you got that for? I would think there would be other ones in better condition than that for not a whole lot. Atleast that's how it was when I was searching for mine. I have an 85 and you got your work cutout for sure!

Its a great hull but you are going to need a lot more than 90hp on that to do anything more than putt around. I wouldn't consider anything below a 200. Most of these came specced with 260hp+

I'll save disclosing the purchase price at another time. I want to do a test with the 90HP. I am not as interested in high speed runs any more..I want to run 200 miles with the least amount of fuel to keep costs down. When I get bored with the speed of a 90, I plan to get a 250 Merc....we'll see

removed the windshield and dash

the boat looks hotter without the windshield?

The windshield makes the boat, it’s unique for the era.

You can buy a cheap moisture meter at Home Depot that will work for your application .

the boat sits too high on the trailer for my liking, so I wanted to adjust it...but the bolts are frozen and rusty
many of the bolts were easy enough to twist and break-off using socket wrenches
