33 AVS w/Imco shortie
 

Could anyone tell me if they have any experience w/ the Imco shorties 2inch shorter drives on the Scarab 33 AVS. I have the boat and love the performance, but like everyone, want to go faster. Is the shorties the answer?? Thanx

I have used the imco but I made so many changes Iam not sure
I can tell you the result of the imcos alone

hey Scarab105, did you have problems blowing out comming out of the hole, that is my biggest concern, well one of several I guess, are you able to get enough bite while running for sufficient bow lift. Im planning on stepping up to around 600hp per side, right now 415 per side (stock merc 502), 80mph. A reply from any party is more than appreciated. Much thanx Tripper

I put a set on my 99 avs picked up 2.5 mph and also helped the handling. but i did have some problems getting onto plane. i could no longer use my hydromotive props without the diff ring .Ihad to go with brovos . midrange picked up also .james
