Don Johnson 43' Race Boat
Im wondering if anyone has info
about what happened to this Scarab after it was sold to the Wellcraft dealer in St. Charles M.O. When I worked a Team Scarab I did a lot of work on that boat and did the conversion from race W/Lambos to Pleasure. I also maintained and after 10 years it was sold by the owner in Ventura California to The Dealer in M.O. Just wondering what happened to It, Kinda like a old friend. Mike J. |

Yaaa send on the pics!
ALSO - Anyone have this? ( & I have asked the dealer closest to Irwin`s summer place on Lake Minnetonka, Mn to get me a copy while I was buying a SCARAB III) WELLCRAFT used The Miami Vice boat in some boat show promo tapes. The tape featured a lot air (in between the water & boat bottom) And large ramps (waves). THAT would be great to get a copy of Yaaaaa! --My guess is it disapeared fast because of some in-house lawyer--- RIGHT Mr. Jacobs? Hey now, give us a thrill the SUV & small ****-box quasi sports car tv ads has your liability covered. Eagle |
There are two 43ft Larry Smith Scarabs that are frequently at the Competition Marine Center in St. Charles Missouri. One of them is called Zero Gravity and ran 105mph at the LOTO shootout. Both boats can often be seen at LOTO.
I've got some pictures of these boats. It would be cool to see some photos of other 43ft scarabs. |
check out www.cocktailcove.net :: look a the video section of the site and download the miamivice clip It's titled "Here comes Crocket and Tubbs"
