21 S I Outboard question?????
 

Hi all,

I was checking the boat today while its in the shop and noticed the transom is "shaped" rather than straight across.. the reason I was checking is they are going to put a plate across there where the motor bolts thru so I was inspecting it and noticed. I dont want them to just toss a plate on there that is not shaped exactly like the transom. I was wondering if other outboard owners could chime in on there transoms and if they have any plates on theirs.. thanks

I should have used the word "taper" rather than shaped.. It appears there is a slight taper that runs from the outside of the transom in and back then where the motor bolts to is straight of course. any help appreciated thanks in advance.

David, You got me stumped on
this one, The only "Outboard"
of this style was a couple of
boat done at wellcraft for the
LAGOON Show at Universal Orlando and 2 that were in the
first few shows At Universal
Hollywood "Miami Vice" show.
The ones at the Orlando show
were White with Red and Black
stripes and Hollywood were same paint job as the TV Show.

thats interesting?? any value to the boat above and beyond normal?? its black then dark blue right under that all the way down to the bottom of the hull. just curious.

Is it a wellcraft Scarab????
What are the Hull ID Numbers.
There were a couple of IO hulls that were converted to
OutBoards at Universals request for the shows.
I checked with the person"VP"
at Team Scarab as he was there
longer than I was.
Same thing with the "BATMAN"
boat in another thread???????

boat is currently getting the transom rebuilt.. cant wait to get her back in the water. cold weather or not..haha

haha.. thats a start isnt it. she is a really nice riding 21.. cannot wait to get her back in the water. the hull gelcoat is in very nice shape along with the deck, still very shiny.. has the typical rotten wood backrest for the bench seat and other than the transom work thats being done is a solid old boat. should provide at least a few seasons of fun till we jump up to the next one.
