1991 Scarab Cv
 

Can anyone give me any information on the 26' Cv. How many were made. What kind of speed if whipple is installed on 502, What a 91 Cv would be worth in very good condition or any other information.

Had one for a few years. It was a 91 also. Awesome boat in terms of functionality and handling but quality was terrible. I mean really terrible. Everything fell apart. I would buy one of the new ones they made recently for Factory1 racing. Think I saw a great one for $40k. You will end up buying a 1991 for $20k and putting $20k more in it by the time you install new fuel tank, fix all delamination problems, redo dash, cabin door, seat bases, etc. My 91 ran 75mph with 500hp and stock bravo. They have an intentional hook in the pad. Take it out for a couple extra mph.
Or you could look for a Larry Smith version. Not cheap though. Different deck, more flatdeck race style.

I ran against a 26 cv of that era on two different days, full interior, plexiglass windshield,(not a larry smith) that was running a big blower w/2x4's big block, so I figure he was 600 hp minimum, and he ran dead even with my 24 excalibur 470+hp for about 2-3 miles- both of us trimmed out to the max with drivers only and bravo drives in a nice 1- foot chop max- about 80mph tops. He only had about 1 foot or so of that pad in the water, so I can't imagine there was any hook affecting him - his bow was running nice and high. I also would guess about 75 mph for the 91 502 whipple (520hp). DAMN good lookin' boats!!!!!
