finally got a pic of the new tow vehicle (mar 04) and the new to me Scarab (jan 04). Picture is not that great from this angle, there was pine trees in the way to get a good side shot of the 50 ft combo.

Not sure if you're talking to me or not, but here goes!
It's an '01 33 AVS with twin 525EFIs. We bought the boat with 502s and had Innovation Marine swap them out for the 525s. We love it! We've had it up to 84mph at around 4700-4800 RPM (I think that's what he said) with some left on the throttle.

If you don't mind me asking, what were the damages to exchange the 502's for the 525's all said and done? how many hours were on the 502's?

I was in the exact same boat with stock 502 mags, it's a 98 with very similiar graphics. It gps'd at 73.3. Nice ride.

We just supplied Rondey in Algonac with a trailer for his 88 34 Scarab. This a a Great looking boat he has owned since new.

I'm sorry I'm just getting back to you! The 502s had about 2.5 demo hours on them. As for the total to exchange the motors...I'm not sure. The motors weren't the only things that were changed. He also added dual engine fresh water flush system, drive showers, Marine Machine sea strainers and upgraded a couple of other things. If you call Rick @ Innovation Marine (941-355-7852) I am sure he'd be more than happy to talk to you about working on your boat! Talk about a first class act...the entire Innovation crew is top notch!!
