Default Need help on 1996 Scarab 22 rebuild

We bought this boat new in 1995/1996

boat has the Carb 454 in it.

The boat sat up over 6 years with no cover.

My first question is does anyone sell carpet kits already got to size for the boat so its jut a peal out and replace procedure?

Next we are looking for new guages for the boat and a steering wheel.

The floor seems flimsy can we just put a new piece of wood down over that as a "lay in" for support for the summer til we can have it all rebuilt?

Any other upgrades to do on this boat being older

thanks

Ryan

Floor is prob rotted. I had the same boat. More of a problem could be the stringers. I actually had to get the hull replaced onmine. Reused the deck and power/drive. Dig a little deeper to make sure it's even safe to run

Will do. I have a tech coming by this afternoon to take a look around and see what his thoughts are.

I hate to dump a whole lot into this if in the end its still not going to be worth much of anything and i could just round up a newer boat.

I agree with Dolla. I had the same exact boat and you have to watch it when water gets on the carpet. Gotta dry it out ASAP to keep it from getting into the floor/stringers. I don't think you will find a carpet "kit" for that boat...you will need to have one made.

Mine had a custom dash/steering wheel with Livorsi guages. See pic below.

Ive got an question about replacing the carpet with spray in bedliner instead?

Can you do this do a bedliner spray instead of carpet? And where would the water drain if i did this?
