[IMG]I'm buying the 5 boat & I wanted to get as much info & pics of it I can to look at putting it back in an org. paint scheme I have the 95 brouchure 43 scarab it still has the stars & stripes but it is a new paint job & also has trip. 1000's if anybody has any pics of it I would like to see them.

I like the shot from the races in Key West with
the TOPLESS Blond with her fist in the air and
a Yellow thong Bikini bottom.
Gus A was driving Alen P the owner in the center
and Rick D. who is looking at the girl.
Paint Job "What Paint Job".
Its white with Yellow from the cockpit to the transom
I will check and see what I have in storage.

Is this the boat that is/was owned by Steve Mahr ? I remember being in a poker run in my friends 31 Larry Smith , we were running 90'sh and the #5 boat went by us like we were standing still.
My friend Mike did the engines and upkeep on that boat. It will be sad to not see that boat on the lake anymore.

yes its steves boat my brother lives on lake st. clair i would still like to make a poker run up the but i intend to run it mainly on lake norman in charlotte nc where i have my other 43 the good-ole-boys will love the noise since i already get complants on my 43 now watch out nc here comes THE 5 BOAT

As I remember the boat was decaled and it was
owned by Alen Pariser who lived here in SoCal
but also had a home in St. Kitt.
Alen also owned the boat when it ran as the
Gentry boat and set the Kilo Record.
Alen Passed away a few years ago and I heard the
boat was at Wellcraft for sale but I guess it was
sold.
I found a few small photos but not the poster of
the Boat with the topless blond.
I have been gone from Team Scarab for a number of
years now and have given away most of the Scarab
STUFF, I still have some Jackets, Shirts, and old
posters ever some classic decals if anyone is
interested.

Mike, what do you have in the way of Scarab decals, jackets, etc. I'm interested since I recently bought a left over '29, 2000 model Scarab and can't find any thing for Scarabs. Would appreciate feedback.

I think it would be a good idea to Email me and
I will send some photos, Most of the Shirts and
jackets were for my wife and myself that we had
for boat shows and boat races.
They are all in very good condition BUT they
Team Scarab Racing and have my name or my wifes
done in Embroidery.
Most are Me XL and my wife M, So if your names
not Mike and your wifes not Sam theres a problem

Anybody out there ? You can get into a 90+ mph 43 with trip. 820's for less than most everones 38 plus it has the rigging & capablity of handling 1000-1100hp which will push this boat over 100 mph. 105,000 obo. Check it out in classifieds.

No the 5 boat I'm talking about is the one in the pics on this thread it's the 93 world record boat that ran 126 mph

The 5 boat is a Larry Smith SCARAB 43' when it broke the record it had 1200hp Gentry twin turbo motors it now has merc 1000sc poker run motors that dyno at 1100hp :evilb:

Pariser and was racer with different decals
untill Alen made a deal with Tom Gentry to use
it for the Kilo Record.
I was there with Jan Michael Vincent the day
The boat broke the record.

My friends were partners in that boat originally with Steve before he bought them out . I know either they or I have photos of the original scheme.

Did Steve convert it back to 3 man bolsters?

When I last rode in it here in Michigan it ran consistantly around 118. I heard Steve had it up in mid 120's.

Bjlesl did you buy this boat yet . I bought the 43 scarab from Randy Sweers without power and drives and I am hoping to get it in the water this summer. Let me know how you make out.

I REGRET TO SAY THAT I HAD TO PASS ON THE 5 BOAT WHEN I FOUND AN INSURANCE COMPANY THAT WOULD TAKE IT THEY WANTED 6,000 A YEAR TO INSURE IT I PAY UNDER 2,000 FOR THE 43 I HAVE I'M JUST GOING TO UP THE POWER IN MY STARS & STRIPE BOAT TO 950-1000 & RUN THAT FOR NOW. :eek:
