Sea Ray to unveil 290 sundeck and Fission model
Marine max tells me they are going to unveil a new model 290 sundeck and Fission. They didn't mention any length on the Fission. Maybe it will be like the pachanga. They are going to unveil it next Wednesday at the Dallas Boat Show at 3:00pm. They even gave me free tickets to go see it all, but only for Wednesday . Its not on the sea ray website so I will try and get some boat show pics.
My family has a 04 240 sundeck so I'm looking forward to the 290. If it holds 20 people I may have to trade up.

Well I guess nobody cares about the 290 sundeck. I saw it at the boat show and I was not impressed. The 240 holds 12 people and I was hoping the 290 would hold 20. They did put a grill on the 290, but IMO it was just lost seating.

any update on the "Fission". I'd be shocked at a return of a Pachanga type line, but we can always hope
gotta be honest Sundecks are not my cup of tea. but then again I've never tried to ferry around 20 people so.....

Anyone interested in a new 22' Pachanga, pay attention to Sea Rays announcements this September. 50th anniversary model with a red hull/white graphics plus a regular version. Supposedly hit 74 mph in testing, no idea what it was rigged with.
Fission was a bowrider set up for watersports, in case you were still wondering.

Do you have any other info that I havent heard or missed? I remember as a kid bouncing around on the Pachangas at the Sea Ray dealer, and if/when a new 22 comes out it will be my first boat purchase.

Diggin up an old thread, but as far as the 290 SD? I'm not even impressed with the 270 comparing it to the 240. It's in the layout. That's a lot of boat not to have equal good use of space. The 240 is just really hard to beat.
