what's with the compass on the bow?
 

Maybe it's just me, but anyone else think that big ol' compass mounted in the bow looks dumb? Actually, mine is missing and I was considering putting a motorized spotlight in its place. Will probably just buy a new compass to put in, but if anyone else has seen or done something else I am listening :)

The compass is a Richie model# SS5000 and run about $600

put the compass back in, the spot light would dumb.just my 2 cents.

ok ok... guess I will try to find a good used compass... Not gonna drop $600 on something I will never use. Have a slip on the river. If I ever get confused as to which way upstream is, I can always use my GPS! lol

try getting hold of the service dept. at Richie, they might be able to help you out, I have the number some where I'll post it when I find it

1/2 the price!! I think the compass looks boss!!! Kinda like the tach on old pontiac's wish my 27 had the compass on the bow. Good Luck.
