You running a 500 Merc? What kind of numbers you run with your current setup. Do you know HP roughly? And are you running a stock Bravo 1. Just curious what I should expect out of my new power and drive setup. Thanks.

Your interior looks nice! I will post more pics soon. I'm running a 540 with about 680hp (that's what I was told). I bought the boat last November and wasn't given a true build sheet. I was told top speed was 68 gps. I blew the drive - a Bravo 1 first weekend out - wasn't even running hard. Upgraded to a XR with a drive shower and haven't had a problem. I've had it to a 60-62 but have been a little scared to push it. I was told the engine was built in the mid-90s. I don't have the cash right now for a rebuild.

Here's some more pics from when I was looking at the boat to buy it. Other than the drive not much has changed.

I looked @ this boat after i bought mine I love it!! I like the yellow accent. I hear ya on a rebuild $$$$$ out the kazoo!! Once i get my motor back and the drive mounted I'll post more pics too. Great looking boat man!!

pachanga27 02-16-2010 02:22 PM

Are the last digits on your boat hull I.D.# 88? Yours has the stepped dash I notice and they didn't start that till 1989. Mine is a real early 1988 I know, maybe thats why. Take a look @ the difference my dash is flat. My buddy has a 1990 and we couldnt install the colored bezels because of the dash being steeped out like that. Just curious?

Dreaminbig 02-17-2010 05:16 PM

Yeah, last 2 VIN # are 88. I see what you mean with the dash. The previous owner upgraded with some Hardin marine gauges. I like yours - they look great.

Interesting I wonder how many left the factory with the flat dash. I like your gauges too, classy looking pieces!

Dreaminbig 02-19-2010 11:13 AM

I was fooling around on ebay and found an 88 with twins with the stepped dash. Maybe the step was put on to allow room for the extra gauges. Who knows, just a thought

pachanga27 02-22-2010 09:35 AM

Yeah I seen that one, I dunno there is a ton of room under the dash I think they angled them for better viewing because the sun does reflect bad off mine.

Flamingo 42 02-23-2010 08:58 PM

OK 27........what are the Dyno results

pachanga27 03-16-2010 03:11 PM

490 h.p. is what we got I predicted 475 h.p. I had to go with a 850 Holley DP the Q-Jet just wouldnt get me what I hoped for so more $$$ but hey speed cost money right! This should give me 390 to the prop He said we can gain more but I very pleased from where I was last year!

Flamingo 42 03-25-2010 12:20 PM

That looks great, is that the stock motor mount crossover? are you leaving the mufflers?

pachanga27 03-25-2010 02:36 PM

Yeah that is the stock motor crossover, and I really like the class of the mufflers so I will leave them too. I don't like the loud motor all day that is just me.

Flamingo 42 03-25-2010 03:48 PM

I pulled my mufflers and it really isn't that much louder....unless your at WOT

pachanga27 03-25-2010 09:34 PM

I took my P22 mufflers off and didnt like it plus water inversion scares me!!

pachanga27 04-08-2010 09:37 AM

Applied second coat of bilge paint and painted my mufflers and hatch ram hopefully have the motor dressed and installed within the week. Think Spring!!!
