Green 27 Pachanga

Hello,

I was looking for a used P27 and found a 1990 in green. I have seen the blue and red ones, but never a green 27. I have only seen green on the 22 and 32. It looks to be all factory, same green as a 22 or 32 and same stripe colors. Was this an option for the 27?

Thanks!

I believe that was a limited edition color...I used to have a blue 22' Pachanga years ago. They are very well built boats. Just hard to find one now that hasn't been through the ringer

Thanks for the reply. Its on CL and seems to be clean, but the cockpit interior has been redone to all white and no stripes. Twin 350 boat. I had a green 22 back a few years ago, but its a little small for Lake Lanier here in GA.

Yes it was a factory option and a few P27's were built in green.

Thats some nice powah for a P-27. Can you provide some more details on the boat and motors. How many price, more pictures. who built the motors, . Did the boat start off with 454's and bravos's?

Started with 454's (Bravo's) that where rebuilt and were junk when I purchased the boat. The machine work to get the block correct was about the same as a new block so I purchased brand new 502s. Changed the mild Mercruiser cams to Bob Mandra cams. I did all the work. I ran one engine lean last year and broke a ring landing. I went through them again last year, one was bored and pistons replaced. Both have all new rings and bearings and valve jobs. I am going to start at 32k when I put it on Boat Trader. The boat is 8.5-9 on a scale of 1-10. It sat most of it's life in a garage in AZ being used 1 or 2 times a year.
Also comes with an awesome sound system, 3 amps:party-smiley-048:

Sounds like an awesome set up. What type of speeds do you see and dose the hull handle all that power well or dose it get sketchy at top end?

I owned a 1990 27 with 502's some years ago. They were the high output which was 415hp I think? It was set up new with these engine by the dealer. It came to the dealer as a blank and the buyer wanted big power. I bought it with 80 hours on the clock.

Gimbal bearings were trashed so had to fix that then fitted a tie bar. With cleaver props (28"-not sure) she ran a consistent 86 mph on gps. Slow to plane but once up, she was unstoppable. Not a beginners boat, chine walked from about 70 up and needed to work the wheel a bit. No external steering and only the little Bennet tabs. K planes and hydraulic steering may have improved it significantly.

It was a great fun ride, damn I miss that boat!!!

Mine has zero chine walk and I do not use any tabs. When it's trimmed properly it just flies and rides great.:boat:
