If i'm ohm reading 17 and higher in my plug wires should I change them? Whats the right resistance i need?

I have a stock 454 Mag with Thunderbolt ignition. I can only get 44-4500 rpms wide open. Is there any simple inexpensive things i can do to get more out of it?
