Vessel View Cabling questions

I has Vessel View installed, the dealer did not get it right, and later found out some parts were missed. After being charged full retail for the " missed parts " I have decided to finish it myself....

Points and condensor new last year, maybe 12 hours on it... Ran when I put it up last year, runs ok, but wont rev out this year......

I have an old Mercruiser 165 in my deckboat... Wide open it only pulls about 3k RPM... Everything feels good, no stutter... I even came down in pitch... I am now running a 15 x 16 prop.

The outdrive I pulled out has an input shaft about 8" long from flange to end of splines. My spare drive I had rebuilt... 9.5 inches long..

DOH!!! I didnt know there...

Yea, all the shifting parts are engaged correctly... But will the O rings cause so much of a problem? Nest step is to slip the o rings off and to see if it slips in without them... then I'll know...

Well, I was able to trade off my 2 bolt main shortblock for a 4 bolt main bare block... If it checks out then I can cut some cost out of my budget and I will just build a tried and trued 350....
