496mag repair

So we pulled the motor and found piston #6 broken and the rod bent pretty bad. Water enterd through the exhaust!!
this is what a local marine repair shop gave me as an estimate:

The motor is knocking bad from below. Oil is milky. I have the boys at Larsen marine pulling it today and dropping the pan. I hope to have more knowledge on how bad it is later.

hydro locked. less than 400 hours. Ill know a little more on monday on how bad it is but someone said I should keep an eye out here for a used one. Anyone know of one available?
