I am leaning towards the 6.7 PS but I'm also concerned over how complicated and unriliable many of these new diesels have become. The 420 h.p. 6.5 foot bed on the new Sierra crew cab is tempting too.

I need to mount an Optima battery horizontally in a fairly tight spot. I'm thinking of using a steel battery box that is made for jeeps. I'll paint it to match the engine and heat exchanger. Below...
