Both the original plexiglass and plywood were solely mechanically fastened so it was not a big deal. If there is any VHB tape or glue behind the plexiglass there is virtually no way of getting it...

As mentioned, you need to remove the mirrored plexiglass and you will find the screws beneath it. My 2007 had a large sheet of plywood under the mirror. I ended up replacing it with a piece of pvc...

You can boat from Fort Lauderdale to Key Largo without ever going offshore, but it requires you to take the intracoastal from Fort Lauderdale to Miami. Then from Miami you are in the protected waters...
