Now he has a max speed of 48mph and my son would like to go faster, 400 rpm lower at full throttle is 4600rpm than I have just the max...

Can you say which brand and size you had as a 4-blade? My 1991 242LS has a 7.4 and now a 3-blade vengeance 19 prop but makes 5000rpm and 52mph Thanks it would be a lot of help.

That's quick, mine with the same prop (vengaence 19p) runs only 43mph with the 7,4 330hp merc.
Is the mirage 21p so much better than?

I'm very happy with the 242ls and actually it's a boat we've got for our son and he finds it's big enough, but daddy also likes to take it...
