I have a 2009 270 Checkmate Convinsor. 496 HO. Plugged in a vaccuum to the cig lighter while wife was driving, blower on and working trim tabs. Blew a fuse. All switches on dash out. Trim tabs out....

I changed it at 125 hrs. If it leaks into the bellows, won't it leak into the engine compartment with the motor up? I'll pull the drive this fall and check the bellows anyway. Thanks for the help!

Last year I bought a 2009 Checkmate 270 Convincor with the 496 HO motor. It had only 100 hours on it and is in like new condition. It now has 157 hours and I noticed it uses about a tablespoon or so...

I just bought a 2009 Checkmate 270 Convincor with a 496 HO. Will the Merc flush kit 898235A02 work on this motor? I've seen adds that say it will if it's a non EC motor. Don't know what that means....
