Doing a parts search and looking at all the diagrams I don't have a MAT sensor. I guess Merc went with just a MAP on the 496. Thanks tho.

Boat is located in Lorain, OH on Lake Erie. There are dealers/repair shops out west but probably would have to get the boat to them and who knows how long they would want if for. Sucks losing time...

Props or drive are not the issue as the problem occurs in throttle only mode as well.

Thanks for the reply. I did a compression test and misfire test (buried in the long list of things I tried in my original post LOL) . Both tests were normal.
