I did the compression leak-down tests on cylinders #4, 6, & 8.
#8 - 89 psi in, holding 44 psi
#6 - 89 psi in, holding 73 psi
#4 - 89 psi in, holding 58 psi

I did find the cause of the blowby coming from the breather hose. It turns out the (new) hose connecting the PCV valve to the TB was defective and had an internal obstruction. I swapped out the hose...

Sorry, I forgot to mention, the TB has a heavy coating of oil that has to come from the valve cover vent hose. Would seem to indicate blowby don't you think?

I thought marine engine applications were supposed to have a 112 LSA to avoid reversion. Is this not a hard and fast rule?

GM Marine Crate Motors from eBay - Missing Low-End Torque?

I ended up purchasing two new 5.7 GM marine crate engines from eBay with a company called Center State Engines.
The engines are installed and running smoothly, we just came up on the 10-hour mark....
