'Bleeding' off manifold pressure is like creating an intake manifold leak which would cause a lean condition which would promote a backfire thru the carb which will suck exhaust gases(and water) back...

Yeah, I'm using the new version of DTD. Really disappointing but hopefully It's giving me a way of comparing small changes in cam profiles.

I removed all the wood stringers and bulkheads and transom. The foam allowed water to get to all the wood and rotted them. One section of stringer was 3/4"X 12"X 8' and it weighed 50 lbs from all...

I used one of those tilt contraptions that let you drill pretty straight holes with a regular electric hand drill. My holes were better that the factory installers...which ain't saying much. I bet...

EYE SOCKET! The bearing also has to be aligned to the engine.

Naw, 4 years since last rotor replacement and everything is fine. It's a snug fit, though. If you're concerned put some blue loctite on the shaft.

That's quite a bit. I'm surprised the alignment tool doesn't get stuck. Is it in the verticle of horizontal plane.(check at 90 and 270, too)

Also, the gimbal bearing is in an 'eye' type socket and...

TBIV ignition? Tuff to get off, huh! I just put a chisel to it and broke it off. Then I sanded the shaft down so a new rotor would fit snugly but stll come off. I didn't use glue on the new one.

Just did the job. The rebuild kit now consists all the parts to do one side of all type merc rams.

TBIV has special coil that runs on straight 12v from the battery. Battery should be at full charge.
