FYI. I owned the first 42 with deep steps. It was built in 1997 as a 98 model. My boat was used in the photo shoots and advertising in the magazines. Initially it had staggered HP500s and ran 81-82...

The closest competitor to the new 38SFC would be the Grady White 360. That boat is 2 feet shorter and will only run 42 mph with comparible power (3 outboards). The Fountain is faster, more fuel...
