I have a 26 warlock also. It had a 330hp 454 in it when I bought and had a 23 quicksilver mirage that spun 4200rpm @ 53mph. I replaced the motor and it dynoed at 579hp.

Use epoxy not polyester. Epoxy is the standard for building or repairing wood boats or parts. Also it will prevent water intrusion if the part is sealed propely. As for filler use cabosil, also...
