Really? A four blade even for my little 22 Scarab? That would make sense cause it seems to have a hard time "digging" in. But if I go 4 blade you think I should go with a 24P?

Second the leak down test.... I hate to ask... but have you checked your distrbutor? Sounds like timming is way off... maybe rotor is out of place and you are missing.

Hmmm didnt dyno it.. (sorry Army dont pay much) But it is built right with all the same stuff that many 500HP+ motors are built with.

Dont know the GPS speed... I will have to check that.

Ok I am running a Mirage+ 25P currently... I have a rev limiter at 5k rpms. It hits the rev limiter pretty quick and feels like it still has allot left in it.

502 has ~450-500 HP... Thought about...

Merc and Chevy... same same brother. Only real diff is the gaskets and the freeze plugs. Neither hurt a car. I would think about a better cam...

1: Can you spin the prop now (with your hand while its off) in both directions? If it only spins one way then I think you are having the same situation I am. If you can...

Doug I will have to go check on the prop.... For the sunpad... I am going to do a 1"x1" or 2"x2" peice of angle alum that will give the pad the space I need.

Had the same problem.... I had to remove the outdrive and reseat the pin that engauges in the shift linkage. Little tricky bud didnt have to pull the outdrive all the way out... just an inch. Then...

HAHAHA IT WORKED!!!! Did a leak down and no significant leak on any pistons... I installed a PCV check valve and the engine completely changed its behavior! Too 1/2 quart of oil out and took her to...

It is steam out of the engine / exhaust.... at the point of the video, the engine is warm. Thanks for the info... the engine runs great and has almost no smoke (the carb is a little rich so...

Hmmmm ok... thinking about swaping back to a 185 thermostat and cook in the rings. Any suggestions? I would do that of course after I do the leakdown test..
