I agree.

I only paid $5K for the Mercruiser and was able to sell all the OMC "Junque" for about $3700 over a few years piece by piece.

The result was a boat that performs very well, yet costs...

Well, I finally found a nice 370......

Can anyone tell me about the ARCH? what's it made of, how difficult would it be to remove?

How about installing a hinge to "fold" it down...

In those days they would have rated the engine/drive using crankshaft HP.

The OMC 460 was rated at 340hp and the 454, 330hp.

My 97 454/Bravo III is rated at 300 Propshaft HP.

He said they gave him a choice of the Merc 454 (330 crank hp) and the OMC 460 (340 crank hp) and he selected the 460...
