Chip Morgan ran that smokey and the bandit boat for years in the chesapeake bay that was a great boat. It was sold to a guy in Ohio who sold it again not sure who has it now.

If water should'n get in then it should'n get out either. I would not think you will have to put to much in. If you have thru hull exhaust make sure they are sealed good the holes should be glassed...
