The zz 502 comes WITH brass freze plugs already...

The zz 502 comes WITH brass freze plugs already installed.All you need to do is change oil bypass spings with the 30lb spring and change the head gaskets to marine ones.

Thanks guys for all the useful info. It just came offf the dyno today and made 561hp.Not too bad for $1400.00 edelbrock oval port heads (out of the box)

Clevite 77 p series will be fine. I have been using them for years in 700hp+ marine motors with no problems.

Besides changing the fuel pump to an electric one what else do i need to change with this 1988 454 to the new 502?
flywheel?
starter?
oil pan?
carb suggetions (i am thinking 800 cfm holley)...

i want to run it with the silent thunder platform.I just want to make sure the aftermarket manifolds put the exhaust to the same location as factory.
