When the drive gets serviced they pull the drive check alignment, gimble bearing, gimble ring, u-joints, leaks, bellows, and change gearlube.

I would have the drive serviced at least once a season. It will usually be a 2 hour charge per drive and cost of gearlube and mounting kit. The cost will depend on the labor rate of the shop doing...

I would have drives pulled check alignment, u-joints,gimbal ring, and gimbal bearing. change gearlube and oil. have the impeller changed pull the spark plugs and check maybe change.

The headers look like there in good shape i cant tell how much drop the exhaust is do you have a flapper on the tips to keep water from coming in when you come off plane. It could be a cracked header...

The concern is are the risers pointing downward or strait back. If it is strait then water is running back threw the exhaust valves.
