I plan on attempting to put this gen 2 on my alpha 1 transom. I'm waiting on the gen 2 upper shift shaft to come in right now....

I'm temporarily mounting a gen 2 alpha on a boat that has a gen 1 transom. So far everything has went on fine. I have been told from a few sourses that this will work as long as you plug the oil fill...

Man... that boat really looks good. I dont know of other locations for the vin but it does resemble the 1980 to some of the late 80's.
What engines are you going with?

I'm in the middle of reforming the dash. It has tripple bulkheads in the cabin and it looked like the dash was cut out and bulkheads were cut back. It was just a hull when I got it. I'll get some...

I have been restoring a 1980 30' Velocity (twin engine) . Originally the boat had trs drives. I've since adapted Alpha gen 2 transoms on it. Engines are 350's with around 300-320 hp.
